Telling You The Truth About Your Arizona Roof

Roofing

When we launched Roofstar Arizona in 2004, we made a decision that the foundation of our business would be in doing right by our customers. Our founder, Jeff Knudson, had already spent decades in the business and saw how many roofing companies did just the opposite — messing over customers in pursuit of a dollar.

You see, homeowners don’t know what’s going on with their roof, and that makes them vulnerable and at the mercy of the roofer. As a result, the industry has earned a reputation for taking advantage of customers. For example, a roofer might find one small area of concern on the roof, take a picture of it, and use that to sell the homeowner a complete re-roofing job. That’s just not the truth, and it’s not the way to take care of a homeowner’s goodwill and trust.

We have found over the years that when we tell customers the truth about their roof, business comes our way. As we make that central to how we do business, we build more and better relationships with our customers, and they refer us to their friends and family. It’s a win-win situation.

What Does “The Truth” Mean?

Telling you the truth about your roof means giving you the information and data you need to make the right decision for your roof, your home, and your family. Take, for example, a 20-year-old roof that is nearing the end of its life. During the inspection, we may find that with a few minor repairs, you can get another 8-12 years out of it. That’s the truth, and that’s what we’ll tell you.

We’ll also tell it to you straight when the roof flat out needs to be replaced. There are times that a $2000 repair won’t pay off when the roof will still need to be replaced in the next couple of years. It’s still your decision, and we give you the information you need to make that decision.

Homeowners Appreciate The Truth

Any business out there can develop a focus on sales and revenue growth. With that as a focus, the business grows, but it may not grow with referrals as the driver behind that revenue. Our growth comes from referrals. In fact, nearly 90% of our new business comes from referrals from customers who got the truth from us about their roof. With time and information, homeowners learn that they can trust us. In hiring any contractor, trust is key to a fruitful relationship.

When we provide an estimate, we provide all the information and details along with it. Nothing is hidden. While our pricing might be slightly higher than others, that’s because we go above and beyond. Many roofing contractors will do the work “to code”. That essentially means they’re doing the minimum requirement. We’ll go above and beyond. For example:

  • We use a 4” underlayment overlap when only 2” is required. That 2” makes a big difference to the life of your roof, as we know from years of inspecting roofs.
  • We use 5 staples per wood batten strip, instead of 4.
  • We add super reinforcement in the valley areas of the roof because those are the problem areas.

Along with the quality of the material and design, we have the best labor and supervision in the industry. Our extensive training program ensures expertise on your roofing project.

Ready For The Truth About Your Roof?

We have always made it part of our mission to do the best job possible. We do that through training and culture. It’s in our corporate blood, to tell the truth, and focus on giving you the best work you can get. We won’t sell you something that doesn’t make financial sense. We expect our roofs to last 40 years, with proper maintenance, not the typical 30 years.

At the end of the day, we want our team to go home each day feeling good about their work. They invest their time working here, and we want them to make it count. And they’re here for you. We have found “When you’re good to others, you’re always best to yourself”.
